Food Friday: Ranch Burger
Sitting on the north side of Pawnee, on State Highway 18 heading north out of town is an awesome burger place to not skip. I came across it while driving through town a few years ago but didn’t stop. Just recently I was in Pawnee again and had a chance to enjoy dinner at Ranch Burger.
It was a nice Saturday afternoon when we stopped in, it wasn’t very busy yet. We started with lasso fries. These are curly fries with fried onions and jalapenos mixed in, served with ranch. While I got the standard bacon cheeseburger, Big K went with the Pawnee Bill burger with a side of onion rings. It didn’t take long for our food to be served. Everything was amazing. I totally fell in love with the lasso fries, Just can’t go wrong with fried onions and jalapenos mixed in with the potatoes. The burger was also amazing. Toasted bun with American cheese, bacon, and lots of fresh veggies. It was a glorious mess to eat but only the best burgers are. The Pawnee Bill burger was also a mess, with ham, bacon, American cheese, fried egg, and also lots of fresh veggies. Big K enjoyed every bite. The onion rings he had were also good, just a standard onion rings.
I think Ranch Burger gets overlooked in Pawnee because Click’s Steakhouse is 2 blocks south. It was getting busier as we ate. I will definitely stop again when I’m in that direction. I’m giving them 5 strips of bacon along with some lasso fries.
